Arlington, VT – TIP Development announced last weekend
that it has scheduled to break ground on its latest project, The Hamlets of Vermont,
this year.
TIP Development President, Frank Hall, and his partner in The Hamlets Project,
Kathleen Roop, made the announcement during an open house held at The Betty Tynan
Farmhouse, the focal point of the new Hamlets’ community.
Hall, an Arlington native with over thirty years experience in the building trade,
was excited at the opportunity to help revitalize the local economy: “Apart
from filling the need for affordable, maintenance-free living options in our community,
The Hamlets of Vermont will generate new property revenues for the Town of Arlington
as well as utilize the talents and skills of area workers. After a long, hard
winter, it will be great to put our local trades people back to work.”
According to Ms. Roop, the ability to preserve the past, while caring for the
present and future is especially satisfying. “The Betty Tynan estate dates
to 1825 – it’s truly a Vermont treasure. I’m pleased that we’re
able to integrate the old farmhouse with these new structures and that we’re
giving our residents the chance to enjoy the Battenkill River the way the first
Vermonters did. What’s more, the Green building techniques we’re using
will ensure that the river and its environs will continued to be enjoyed for many
generations to come.”
“In short,” Mr. Hall summarized, “The Hamlets project is a win
for everyone.”
